Occasionally, I will share a favorite item from my gluten-free kitchen: a book, cookbook, gluten-free food or kitchen gadget or a roundup of favorite things from around the web. Best Paring Knife - My Gluten-free Kitchen

Today I’m going to share with you the most handy little knife I have in my collection.  I discovered this paring knife through a recommendation from American’s Test Kitchen.  They did a comparison of many different paring knives to find the best one.  This brand was the winner, and the best part: inexpensive!  I cut apples up every day for my kids’ lunches, as well as slicing up bananas, strawberries very often. I only had one paring knife in my kitchen, so it was often in the dishwasher when I needed it. I decided to just go for it and buy this one.  I’ve ended up liking it even better than my expensive Cutco paring knife (which is good).  It is much lighter than any of my other knives, but is not at all like the cheap, dull paring knives you see in most stores.  Peeling an apple is so easy with this knife, and I waste much less apple with the peel than before.

I definitely recommend adding this little knife to your collection! I’m sure you’ll love it!  You can pick it up at Amazon for less than $10! Forschner / Victorinox Paring Knife, 3 1/4 in Straight, Small, Black Nylon Handle Model 40600
