10 Most Popular Gluten-free Recipes of 2016

Before bringing new gluten-free recipes to you this year, I wanted to take some time to look back on last year. I’ve rounded up the 10 most popular gluten-free recipes and tips that I published in 2016. Also, scroll all the way to see three recipes from 2016 that didn’t make it to the top 10 but have become regulars at our house.

2016 was quite a year for me personally. I spent a lot of time in doctor’s offices and hospital waiting rooms this year as my son and I had a number of health issues and injuries. Due to that, I didn’t get nearly as many recipes on my blog in 2016 as I’d hoped. But you know, I’m just so thankful for this job I have – I can work on recipes and posting to the blog when I am able to, working around personal and family needs. It is a blessing to have such a flexible job.

Your kind comments on posts or on social media are always such an encouragement to me to keep on pressing on. I have so many ideas – really so many – for new posts for 2017. As health allows, I look forward to sharing them with you! My husband and I are also embarking on an extensive kitchen remodel and I can’t wait to share that with you as we go along! Wishing you a wonderful 2017 filled with health and yummy gluten-free food!

Here’s a look back at the most popular new posts of 2016! If you haven’t tried any of these yet, I sure hope you get to soon!

10. Gluten-free Chocolate Cream Pie

9. Baked Brown Rice

8. Stovetop Artichoke Spinach Dip

7. Gluten-free Lemonies

6. Gluten-free Snickerdoodle Streusel Apple Pie

5. Gluten-free Fresh Apple Cake

4. Gluten-free Maple Donuts

3. Best Sweet Gluten-free Cornbread

2. Gluten-free Sweet & Sour Chicken

  1. The most popular new recipe in 2016 was this amazingly delicious  Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie

***Sadly three of our family favorites didn’t make it to the top 10. I just had to point them out because you all are missing out!

Peanut butter ice cream topping is right up there with Hot Fudge as a favorite on ice cream sundaes. I’ve lost count how many times I made it this year!

Gluten-free Triple Berry Coffee Cake is now my favorite coffee cake! It’s passed up blueberry as my fav. I make this coffee cake before every single road trip we go on. Really! Then I can enjoy it for breakfast every day either alone or with scrambled eggs.

Gluten-free California Club Sandwiches are my favorite “mom lunch”! Yes, sometimes I make these for the whole family, but more often, this is just what I make myself while hubby is at work and kids at school. It is easy yet filling, and goes great with a glass of lemonade! I do usually omit the third piece of bread and opt for extra lemonade for my calories instead!

Thanks again for following along this year! Looking forward to a tasty 2017!

I need to know how much GF flour to use instead of wheat flour when converting a recipe.

I know advertising is the cost of reading on the web. But the ad choices in this post are really off the mark. Scrolling through recipes and having them interrupted not once, twice, but 3 times by a colorful depiction of a human liver is really offputting. Is there anything you can do to get them to post something more relevant? Or at least, more tasteful?

Susan, I'm so sorry! Thank you for understanding the need for ads to offset costs, but also for letting me know about the disgusting ad. I sure don't want that showing up! I have a number of filters in place to prevent icky ads, but unfortunately, some slip through. The next time you see something like that, I'd love if you would click where it says report this ad. This will help my ad network trace and remove these! Thanks so much for your comment.
